mix & mingle in a jinglin' beat...

...that's the jingle bell rock.
As much as I love Christmas music, I think if I hear this song one more time I'm gonna puke LOL.
I ended up getting that job. I am there now. I have a small stereo behind my desk and the speakers are on the ceiling. It is tuned the radio station that's playing all Christmas music. I do admit I love that. You really can't go wrong with Christmas tunes. But I'm kind of sick of hearing the same song every hour LOL.

Now about the job...
It is pretty cool. At first I was overwhelmed, but I think I'm getting the hang of it (I started Friday). The owner is kind of intimidating, but I think I'm doing ok. This is actually the first time since I started that I've had some time on my hands. It's usually pretty busy nonstop. But I like that because it makes the day go by faster. I think it's kind of slow today because of the holiday.

I can't wait til Christmas. It seems like I've been waiting for it forever and then all of a sudden I was like, oh my gosh it's this Monday! I can't wait to see Corinn open her presents. We're going to Nacogdoches on Sunday, just for the day. When we get home, later in the evening my mom, Rhonda and I are going to church. My idea. I'm not much of a church person, but I like it at Christmas.

Ten minutes til time to go home. I hate the drive home, and today it rained so I'm sure it's gonna be worse. But it's not as bad as the drive from Corporate Express so I can deal with it.

Sleigh bells ring, are you listenin'

Well, I have an interview tomorrow at 10AM. It's with a fitness equiment manufacturing company (right up my alley...ha! ::sarcasm::). And it's not on my side of town. But I decided to go ahead and apply for anything I see that I might be suited for, even if I have to drive 30 miles. So far this is the first company that's called me.
I pretty much gave up on Office Team. They aren't helping me at all. They should have been putting me top priority since they screwed up and told me the last job was temp to perm.

Christmas is on it's way. The other day I was thinking it was a week away. Then I realized we still had two more weeks. I was hurrying for nothing. Well, not for nothing. I'm glad I have all my shopping done. We just have to get something for Ros's mom's husband. Probably another Barnes & Noble gift card. I have two presents of Corinn's left to wrap. I keep thinking I'm gonna wrap them, but I think the reason I haven't yet is I'm kind of waiting to see if I find them cheaper somewhere else. Then I might return them and buy them cheaper LOL. They are two Bratz toys. One is a Big Bratz Baby (Katia) and the other is a Bratz Kidz (Jade) with a little desk or something that has actual lip gloss inside I think. Something like that. Corinn took a liking to both of them one night at Target.

Well, I need to get to bed. I've been staying up til 2 or 3 and sleeping til noon, so 8:00 is going to come early for me.

What's on your mind?

I'm bored so I thought I'd take some of these little "quizzes".

Your Brain's Pattern

You have a dreamy mind, full of fancy and fantasy.
You have the ability to stay forever entertained with your thoughts.
People may say you're hard to read, but that's because you're so internally focused.
But when you do share what you're thinking, people are impressed with your imagination.

I think that fits me pretty well :)

What Your Underwear Says About You

You have a lucky pair of underwear. And you wear it more than you should.

You're a closet exhibitionist who gets a thrill from being secretly naughty.

Teehee.

Your Band Name is:

The Plastic Tulips

Ok that's lame.

Your Mood Ring is Orange

Stimulating ideas
Daring
Full of desires

Um ok, I must be horny.

You Are 40% Weird

Normal enough to know that you're weird...
But too damn weird to do anything about it!

Well, I knew that.

You Are a Glazed Donut

Okay, you know that you're plain - and you're cool with that.
You prefer not to let anything distract from your sweetness.
Your appeal is understated yet universal. Everyone dig you.
And in a pinch, you'll probably get eaten.

Man, I could really go for a donut right now.

Arty Kid

Whether you were a drama freak or an emo poet, you definitely were expressive and unique.

You're probably a little less weird these days - but even more talented!

Hmmm. Yeah I guess if you had to catagorize me... I was in choir and drama. I didn't really hang with a clique. I was kind of just me.

You Are 43% Perfectionist

No one would call you a perfectionist, but you definitely have a side of you that strives to be perfect.
Try to see your mistakes as learning experiences, and don't be so hard on yourself when you screw up!

Yep.

You're an Passionate Kisser

For you, kissing is about all about following your urges
If someone's hot, you'll go in for the kiss - end of story
You can keep any relationship hot with your steamy kisses
A total spark plug - your kisses are bound to get you in trouble

Uh huh.

You Are Marcia Brady

Confident yet kind. Popular yet down to earth. You're a total dream girl.
You've got the total package - no wonder everyone's a little jealous of you.

Yeah right!

Ok that's enough for now :)

Salt water wells in my eyes

I just added a video of the Julian Lennon song "Salt Water". This is probably the best hit that never was in my opinion. Such a wonderful song! I think it came out around 91 and was a single, but not a huge hit. It should have been.

I was so aggrevated at Ros last night. When I got home, he showed me a couple of things he bought. He got the 6th season of Seinfeld and Cars on DVD. Remember how I said that he buys stuff for himself and then when birthday or Christmas roll around, nobody has anything to get him? Yeah, he did it again. I was trying not to get angry but I told him we didn't need Cars because we could just rent it and copy it. The Seinfeld I am glad to get, but it would have made a nice Christmas present. So I told him that could count as my birthday present to him. Then later on, I went out to the studio and he was in there and said "check this out" and he had some three disc KISS Alive CD set. That did it. I was like WTF!?!?! I let him know I was mad. He said his mom sent him $50 for his birthday. I said, well ok I didn't know that. And his reply was "you didn't ask me." GRRRRR!! I told him now I have nothing to get him for Christmas and he said he didn't care, he doesn't get joy from getting gifts. I said well I do! And he said "are we talking about you?" I said no, but you're taking the joy out of giving you something. I think he said something like "well too bad." I was so angry I wanted to punch him. I told Rhonda about it and she made a good point. He is the one who's always so hung up on thoughtfulness. But then he's making it where no one has a chance to be thoughtful! What a hypocrite. Also, he's the one that's been bitching about money. But then he'll buy stuff without consulting me. When I buy something, I'm made to feel guilty. Not anymore. This sucks and isn't fair. I was so upset that I started having an anxiety attack last night. I was tossing and turning in bed and my chest hurt. I really wanted to punch something or someone. So I laid on my stomach in a fetal position until I calmed down and fell asleep.

Everybody's working for the weekend

Well, turns out this job is only temp through tomorrow. I think there must have have been some miscommunication somewhere. I was ticked off, but I'm over it now. This job is rather boring. Now I can just relax this weekend.

Well, maybe not. Rhonda's kids are coming tomorrow. Then Thursday we're going to Nacogdoches for Thanksgiving. Friday I plan to get up somewhat early and go do some Christmas shopping, then later on we're going to see James who will be at his mom's with his new girlfriend. Then probably Saturday or Sunday I'll put up the Christmas tree...or I may wait and do that on Monday after the kids are gone. And sometime I wanna take Corinn to see Santa Claus at the mall. She will love that I think. She's finally gotten to that stage where she understands who Santa is and is excited about Christmas.

Oh and I forgot tomorrow night we're supposed to get together with John and Mary. That should be fun. We haven't hung out with them in a while.
I had totally forgotten about the Paul Stanley fan fiction I had started writing about six years ago. For some reason I thought of it yesterday and showed it to Rhonda. She started reading it out loud and I got all excited about it again. I'm gonna have to finish it one of these days. I think I got about eight chapters of it done. Rhonda says it's very good writing. I hadn't thought about it in a while, but I do enjoy writing. I should do it more I guess.

Yesterday was Ros's birthday. He's 39. We (He, my mom, Rhonda, Corinn and I) went out to eat at Zio's Saturday night and last night we all (minus my mom) went to Gringo's. I had no idea what to get him. I told him he made it very difficult because he bought everything himself (all the KISS related stuff that came out in October) so we had nothing to buy him for his birthday and now we have Christmas coming. But I gave him a little somethin' :). George took him out Sunday night just to hang out. I was a little sad I couldn't go, but I guess he deserved a guy's night. It's just weird because we've never gone out without each other. I know a lot of couples do, but we usually don't have any reason to. We like to do the same things and enjoy each other's company. He's so great. I love him so much.

I've forgotten what it was in you that put the need in me

Oops! Yeah, I forgot I made this blog. Well, not completely forgot...but I just really haven't been in the blogging mood. But I'll bring ya up to date.
I had been offered a job with an insurance company down the road. I had originally applied for the receptionist position, but got offered a customer service support position. In order to start work I had to take a class and get licensed. Well, I took the class, but have not passed the test yet. I've taken it twice so far and failed it both times, first with a 64 and then with a 67. It is SO hard!
In the meantime, I got offered a temp-to-hire position through Office Team. I decided to go ahead and take it cause we need the money and who knows if/when I'll pass the test. So I'm here now at my first day, about to go home. Not really much to say about the job yet because I've only been here since 1:00 and they haven't taught me much yet. So I'll try to remember to keep posting :).

Get high on a new thing

I decided to create this blog just for fun. Mainly to post pics of Corinn so everyone can see, so that I don't have to email them. Also, just to have a little place to write my thoughts. I promise I'll try not to swear too much LOL.

I'm still looking for a job. Haven't had any luck all summer. I finally signed up with OfficeTeam (again) last week. I've also gotten in touch with a lady at another staffing agency who lives next door to the mother of the mother of one of Ros's students...make sense? I need to call her back this afternoon. I'm getting desperate. We have $5,000 due in taxes on the house at the end of the year and we have SQUAT in the bank right now. Need a job...FAST! Minimum wage unemployment checks aren't cutting it.

On a different note...just watched an awesome movie the other night. Ray. Wow, I never knew Jamie Foxx was such a good actor. He totally nailed it. There was one part I couldn't watch (had to close my eyes and ears) which I won't get into, but other than that it was a brilliant film. I also watched She's The Man. A silly little teen movie. Ros couldn't watch it. We started to and he help sighing and rolling his eyes so I stopped it. I watched it by myself the next day. There were some lame parts, but some cute and funny parts too. I had joined that Blockbuster online rental thing, and I just didn't feel right renting a movie and returning it without watching it LOL.
Another great movie I've seen recently is Wedding Crashers. Hilarious!!

Well, I haven't taken many pics of Corinn lately, but here's one of her playing with her Barbie B-Bright Laptop. She loves it!
